Rachel Bradley, a graduate student in Genetics, Genomics, and Development (GGD) has joined the Cohen lab. Rachel will be studying the proteins that regulate crossover designation during mouse prophase I. This is the process by which a fixed and finite number of crossovers is established from a large pool of initiating double strand breaks (DSBs). Rachel will use novel high-resolution imaging methods to assess how certain protein complexes and post-translational modifications regulate this critical process.
