Cohen lab leads a new multi-lab collaboration

the new project will explore the role of gene regulation in human fertility

P50 funding secured as part of NICHD's NCTRI program

The Cohen lab is excited to be part of a new collaborative P50 grant involving several labs from across the Ithaca campus, plus investigators at Weill Cornell Medicine and at the University of Pittsburgh. The Cohen lab has been part of NICHD's National Centers for Translational Research in Reproduction and Infertility since 2009, with this new grant securing their spot for a further 5 years. The new grant features projects that will explore all aspects of the RNA life cycle and will investigate whether altered gene regulation is involved in the high rates of infertilty observed in men. The grant is made possible by the outstanding core resource support from the Genomics Innovation Hub, led by Dr. Jen Grenier.
